This film will see a few firsts for the couple; Abhishek will play a womanizer for the first time in his career and will be seen romancing several ladies, it will also be the couple’s first romantic-comedy together. The role was offered to Aishwarya five years ago but due to lack of dates the actress had to turn down the role.

On speaking about Aishwarya’s role in the film, director Raj Kumar Santoshi tells the media that, “Aishwarya is perfect for this film. Though Aishwarya has done comedy before, this is a new genre for Abhishek and for them as a pair.” He goes on to say that “This comedy takes me into the same genre as Andaz Apna Apna and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. But the humor here is not slapstick.”

Ladies and Gentlemen will also see Raj Kumar Santoshi start a new banner named after his late mother who passed away last year. Shooting for the film is set to start in July.
